Meet Behnaz Rafattalebi.

Scuba instructor who combines curiosity, exploration and thoughtful teaching to help others discover the underwater world.

Behnaz is a passionate scuba diving instructor who loves exploring the underwater world and sharing that passion with others. Her diving journey began while watching ocean documentaries beside her father.

Curious and adventurous, she is always looking for new experiences and better ways to teach and inspire her students. For Behnaz, diving is more than a job; it is a constant journey of discovery.

Diving stories and advice.

What is your favourite dive site in Oman, and why?

I love all of Oman's dive sites because I love marine life.

What is your most memorable underwater moment?

At Turtle City, we found a large group of eagle rays at the beginning of the dive. They circled around us and stayed for around 35 to 40 minutes, almost the entire dive. It was an incredible experience and one of my most memorable underwater moments.

What advice would you give to a new diver?

Keep diving, keep exploring and discover what it is about the underwater world that keeps calling you back. Never stop learning, because every dive has something new to teach you. You never know when a single moment beneath the surface will become the highlight of your life.
