Meet Usama.

Surgeon, scuba instructor and technical dive guide focused on precise skills, strong fundamentals and purposeful training.

What began as simple curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for the ocean. Usama is a surgeon, scuba instructor and ocean enthusiast who sees a strong connection between the precision required in the operating room and the discipline demanded underwater.

Guided by a “Do It Right” philosophy, he enjoys teaching new divers and helping certified divers sharpen their skills with confidence and purpose. For Usama, every dive is an opportunity to improve, explore and discover.

What is your favourite dive site in Oman, and why?

Deep Reef near Fahal Island gives a diver a little of everything, together with amazing marine life.

What is your most memorable underwater moment?

A lucky decompression stop when I encountered a baby whale shark measuring around 50 to 70 centimetres, and my first dive with tiger sharks.

What advice would you give to a new diver?

Train with purpose, master the basics and focus on buoyancy first. Choose the instructor, not only the agency. Dive within your limits while growing beyond them, and collect experience rather than certifications. The ocean rewards skill, awareness and continuous learning.
